The Neuquén basin is largely located in the Neuquén province of Argentina, with parts reaching into the La Pampa, Rio Negro and Mendoza provinces.

Phoenix Global Resources owns 794 thousand net acres of concessions in the Neuquén Basin and have been actively working in the area since February 2006.

The Neuquén basin assets account for over 40% of Phoenix’s total oil production and contains some of its highest margin and most exciting opportunities, including the company’s large Vaca Muerta unconventional portfolio.

In the basin, Phoenix holds 100% operated working interests in the Puesto Rojas – Cerro Mollar, Cerro Mollar Oeste, Cerro Mollar Norte, La Brea, Vega Grande, El Manzano (conventional), La Paloma, Cerro del Alquitran and Laguna El Loro concessions.

In addition, the company has working interests in the Chachahuen, Corralera, Mata Mora, El Manzano (unconventional), Rio Atuel and Cajon de los Caballos concessions.
